Blood in the Water

By: Gus Victoria

Blood in the water,
The remnants of progress,
Sharks circle,
Greed in their eyes,
A frenzy about to commence,
They smell your fear,
Growing bolder,
Swimming near,
Our ship sank,
Guided to wreck,
Unable to weather a storm,
Unwilling to change course,
They sense the gore
Of those weaker still,
The chum of society
Draws them close,
If sharks could grin,
Secure, they know
We lose, they win,
And now we drown,
As they feed,
Blood in the water,
Now we drown,
As they feed.

Chasing the Fairy #12

By: Gus Victoria

A ghost,
A spectre,
A feeble soul
Besmeared and befouled
Searching,
In toil shattered,
For a cosmic partner;
A soul not lost
In mind complete,
Joy near beheld,
Physical pleasure
Is known
Before all ecstasy
Is fully realized,
Plaintive cries
Thrown to the wind
In climactic embrace
Do little to bend
The iron will
Of selfish indulgence.

Corporate Wicker Man

By: Gus Victoria

The rivers run red with the blood
Of once-innocents dead.
For you they bled
And yet you decried
The violence you denied…
But we know you lied
They, hungry ghosts, wait
Wait for the time
That you cease to gorge
On the flesh,
The carcass of democracy!
Fuck you and your monarchy
To the throne of greed you bow
Fuck you and your money
To the throne of greed you bow
Terrified what to you is anarchy
But to me is democracy
Each blood soaked fist a vote,
Each ink-stained declaration
Your condemnation!
Fuck you!
The corporate wicker man burns!
The corporate wicker man burns!
The corporate wicker man burns!
The corporate wicker man burns!
