The Shepherd’s crook,

The monarch’s orb,

Noble gifts

Used as locks,

To heavy chains built

In darkness,

Paraded in light,

Proclaimed with glory,

Unmasked to shame,

By those unfit to wield.

Embraced by those

Quick to yield.
